Every year, GAiT surveys how its members as to how they are assaying quality in their clinical-grade iPSC derivation and manufacturing programs. The same survey is issued every year and the resulting data set allows GAiT to track community alignment and progress.
Results from the 2017 Quality Standards Survey
Take the 2018 Quality Standards Survey here.
If your institution completed the survey in 2017, we ask that you coordinate with the person who responded to that survey then so we have a consistent and complete dataset over time. If your institution has not filled out the survey before, then you can respond to the survey directly.
Why should your/your institution take this survey?
Many efforts to align cell manufacturing worldwide fail because basic assumptions are made by individual institutions regarding their own activity and that of others within the community. It is thus important to make an effort to build an accurate and reliable assessment of the state of the community overall, before any alignment strategy is initiated. Such strategies generally fail due to assumptions being overlooked or assumptions being wrong and this not being accounted for.
